Yoga Basics
(great for beginners and those who have never tried yoga before).

This yoga class is tailored for a beginners' needs, though experienced practitioners could benefit greatly as well. In this class we focus strongly on the alignments of the basic poses (Asanas), fundamental breathing techniques. and how to properly combine breath with Asana. We are moving slowly, holding the poses longer and encouraging practitioners to safely explore their limits, focus on their breath and listen to their bodies. With regular attendance of this class, practitioners  gradually and safely build up strength, endurance, flexibility, and develop body awareness in preparation for more advanced Asanas. Hands-on adjustments, props and modifications are used during the class to suit students' needs.

"You cannot do yoga. Yoga is your natural state. What you can do are yoga exercises, which may reveal to you where you are resisting your natural state. "

Sharon Gannon
